Specimen Handling
Serum: Separate serum from cells as soon as possible after the blood is allowed to clot. Plasma: Centrifuge and transfer separated heparin plasma to a plastic transport tube and label as Li-heparin plasma.

Patient not fasting; citrate, oxalate, or EDTA anticoagulated plasma
