Specimen Handling
Do NOT collect in glass. Collect in a plastic lavender top (EDTA) tube. Centrifuge and transfer the plasma into a LabCorp PP transpak frozen purple tube with screw cap (LabCorp ID 49482). Freeze within 24 hours and maintain frozen until tested. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple tests on frozen samples, PLEASE SUBMIT SEPARATE FROZEN SPECIMENS FOR EACH TEST REQUESTED.

Non-EDTA plasma specimen; EDTA plasma collected in glass
