Welcome to the Ascension Sacred Heart Laboratory Test Directory!
Here you will find important information about our laboratories and the lab tests we offer at our various lab locations. You will also find information on special sendout testing, as well as links to the reference laboratories utilized.
Any laboratory testing requested on specimens from suspected Ebola patients (e.g. malaria, typhoid fever, or other hemorrhagic fevers) SHOULD NOT be sent to ANY Sacred Heart Health System Laboratory but should be held until results for Ebola testing are confirmed as negative by your State's Laboratory. The State Laboratory recommends minimal contact and laboratory testing.
Please Note: Turn Around Times (TAT) listed on this website are based on Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola Laboratory. Specimens coming from offsite locations will need to factor in transport/courier time for accurate test TAT.
STAT TAT - 1 hour from receipt in Lab
Routine TAT - 4 hours from receipt in Lab
Specimens for sendout testing must be received in lab by no later than 1pm CST in order to ensure send out same day.
