Sparrow laboratory consists of a group of highly skilled
Board-Certified Pathologists who provide patient centered, evidence
based care. The laboratory is staffed with Clinical Laboratory
Scientists that provide expertise in all areas of the Laboratory. The
entire Laboratory team functions under the motto of “The right
information to the right person at the right time ... every time.”
The laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologist
and the pre and post analytical functions of the Laboratory's Quality
Management System are ISO-9001 certified.
In addition to providing a full range of clinical testing, the
laboratory also houses a Biosafety level 3 Laboratory that provides
services needed by local and statewide agencies in case of a
bio-terrorism assault, a Molecular Diagnostics Center of Excellence
laboratory, and a full service blood bank.
