Accreditation
Saint Joseph Medical Center Laboratory is accredited by the Joint Commission. The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit national organization that oversees the safety and quality of health care including laboratory services. Compliance is maintained through bi-annual laboratory surveys performed by the Joint Commission. The College of American Pathologists (CAP) and American Proficiency Institute (API) provide proficiency testing that challenges the integrity of internal testing methods.
